The club’s HR function oversees every stage of the employee lifecycle, from recruitment through to offboarding. Our team is here to support you at every stage of your career with the club. We also play a key role in shaping the club’s strategic people objectives, ensuring our values are embedded in the day-to-day culture of the organisation.

A DAY IN THE LIFE

Working in HR & Safeguarding at Stockport County means supporting the people who make the Club what it is, while ensuring everyone operates in a safe, positive, and inclusive environment.

A typical day might include:

  • Supporting staff recruitment, onboarding, and development
  • Handling HR queries and providing guidance across departments
  • Managing wellbeing and employee relations cases
  • Overseeing safeguarding processes and compliance
  • Delivering training and awareness across the Club
  • Working closely with managers to support a positive culture
