Developing people, not just players
Football Education
The Stockport County Football Education provision delivers further education college programmes for 16-18-year-olds in a long-established partnership with the Trafford & Stockport College Group.
Our team of fully qualified teachers, coaches and support staff at Stockport Sports Village guide students through extensive study and enrichment activities that prepare them for successful next steps in education and employment. In addition to ensuring academic success and achievement, we pride ourselves on giving students unique opportunities, raising their aspirations, and helping them develop as good people.
We offer different types of study programmes to allow students to focus on the areas they are most interested in; the Player Pathways provide academy-style training programmes alongside their studies, whilst the Sports Career Pathways enable students to focus their enrichment on a specific career route in coaching, analysis, sports rehab, or strength & conditioning.
